 Christ Is Risen from the Dead!

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:20


1.   Christ’s resurrection is the answer that we need, to death.


a.   Death is a fact of human life.


b.   Death is irreversible. The resurrection reverses an irreversible change!


2.   Christ’s resurrection is a very great miracle.


a.   It takes a miracle to bring the dead back to life.


b.   The witnesses of this miracle are reliable and consistent. (John 21:24; 1 John 1:1-3)


c.   The evidences for this miracle are substantial.


1.   The death of Christ (John 19:34)


2.   The empty tomb (Matthew 28:11-15; John 20:6,7)


3.   The appearances of the resurrected Christ (1 Corinthians 15:5-7; John 20:25-29)


4.   The transformed lives of the disciples


3.   Christ’s resurrection has profound implications for us.


a.   It reveals His true identity.

·         John 10:17,18; Romans 1:4


b.   It makes Him a living Saviour.

·         Revelation 1:18


 c. It requires a response from us.

·         1 Corinthians 15:54,55


·         Will you come to Jesus Christ and be saved today?
