Romans 1:16

Life B-P Church Gospel Service, 30 Apr 2017

Text: Romans 1:16

Rev Philip Heng

The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the most important message in the world. It meets man’s most urgent need which man is incapable of providing for. This is the problem of sin. How to deal with sin in our lives — The practice, the power, the penalty and the presence of sins in our lives.

As a preacher of the Gospel and servant of God, I am dealing with the most important product in the world – the human soul which is God-generated, which is immortal and capable of going to Heaven or to Hell and the Lake of Fire, capable of the most exquisite grace – of eternal bliss and fellowship in Heaven with the Blessed Triune God throughout all eternity, or the most abysmal suffering in the Lake of Fire with Satan throughout all eternity.

 Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

The consequences of life are at both extremes – either with God, the holy angels, the saints of all the ages, with our Christian family and loved ones, and friends forever, or being separated from God and loved ones throughout eternity.

 John 3:18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only Begotten Son of God.

 John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The choice is ours.

That’s how serious the Gospel is. It is either the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, or it is the pronouncement of God unto condemnation to everyone that rejects the Gospel. We will either live forever with God or we will be lost forever, separated from God and everything blessed. The choice is yours and mine to make. So, think carefully. Consider carefully.
