Text: Acts 15:36-41

Paul and Barnabas had a great partnership.

Paul and Barnabas separated (Departed asunder: apochōrizō" = to rend apart; reflexively, to separate, to sever, to depart from) over an argument (sharp contention: paroxysmos = incitement, irritation, angry dispute)

What can we learn from this story?

1. Man Sins In Spite Of God’s Grace

  What does the sharp contention between Paul and Barnabas teach us about ourselves?

2. God’s Grace Is Above Man’s Sin

  What does the outcome of the quarrel between Paul and Barnabas teach us about God?

            a. God is gracious to continue to use us for building His church.

            b. God is gracious to bring us to the point of reconciliation.
